Coronavirus (COVID-19) updated 4/15/20

I hope that you and your families are safe and healthy. Monday, April 20th will mark one month since we took precautions to protect our members and our employees by closing our two branch locations and shifting to a virtual environment amidst social distancing, stay-at-home, and teleworking directives from our government agencies. Despite these challenges, you all continue to fight on the frontlines for our Labor Force. As Secretary Scalia recently noted in his letter to all of you, some DOL agencies have been fighting this war against COVID-19 since January, making you all the first responders for our nation’s workforce.

While you are there fighting and working for the nation’s workforce, we are here for you. It’s an honor to be in a position to serve you all. There are challenges in this new remote reality, but I am proud of the hard work and dedication DOLFCU employees have shown in this new environment as they continue to provide you with financial solutions during this crisis.

How to contact us during this time.

We have received dozens of your emails and requests for help through our online communication channels. I realize there have been some frustrations as well. Our Call Center has been diligently working to field your inquiries and get your request to the right team member to respond to you, and we have been working to reduce the response time on all of your requests by adding resources to our remote workforce. Currently, the best way to reach us and to receive a follow up call or response is through our online “contact us” channel.

Financial hardship assistance is available.

Over the past few weeks we have taken steps to get out in front of any financial hardship that you may be facing due to the COVID-19 crisis. We have waived all loan and ATM fees for March and April. We are offering payment deferrals on your DOLFCU loans. If you have an auto loan with another lender, you can refinance with DOLFCU (with no costs) and receive $150 in cash and no payments for 90 days.* We have waived fees or penalties on early withdrawal from CD’s and other time deposits. We are also offering emergency loans for members whose income has been cut off temporarily.

For those new to the virtual environment, we have enhanced our online banking login process to streamline your access to your account. This includes a First Time User function to enroll in online banking, as well as a Forgot Password function to help you when you are locked out of your account.
